1. Structural features:
-Valve body: Usually adopts wafer connection, compact structure, light weight, easy installation and maintenance.
-Valve disc: The valve disc is the core component of the butterfly valve, usually in the shape of a disc, and controls the on and off of the fluid by rotation.
-Sealing material: The sealing material of the soft-sealed butterfly valve is usually rubber, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) or other elastic materials, with good sealing performance.
-Valve stem: The valve stem connects the valve plate and the operating mechanism, and transmits the operating force to rotate the valve plate.
2. Working principle:
The soft-sealed wafer butterfly valve controls the fluid by rotating the valve plate. When the valve plate is parallel to the pipeline axis, the valve is in a fully open state and the fluid can pass freely; when the valve plate is perpendicular to the pipeline axis, the valve is in a closed state and the fluid is blocked. The rotation angle of the valve plate is usually between 0° and 90°, which can be controlled by manual, electric or pneumatic operating mechanisms.
